Introduction
At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for complex technical solution construction in a technology, industry or business specialty
• Analyse RfP and RfI documentation, extract customer expectations, and convert business requirements into a future ready solution
• Familiar with the standard IBM offerings
• Be familiar with and utilise Delivery & Cognitive capabilities in development of solutions
• Deliver input for the SoW / T&Cs
• Interface with all functions as required i.e. Offering, Delivery, Procurement, Pricing, SPO, Sales, coordinating multi function inputs to the solution and cost model
• Supports client discussions on solution to guide and advice the client in the development of their requirements, and to ensure the solution meets the clients requirements
• Understands client services, economic drivers and industry trends
• Able to articulate the solution, solution value and how the solution can be differentiated from competitive alternatives to the client
• Co-ordinate multi function inputs to the solution and cost model
• Monitor and acknowledge changes in the Solution Design processes. Collecting approvals from the relevant functions to ensure the solutions are compliant
• Release the bid to the Opportunity Owner if within delegation or else handover to the Pricing team
• Support/Lead handover from solution to delivery implementation
• Influencer on Strategic decisions that will enhance future solutions
