The Department of Education runs and manages all government and private schools within the province, providing educational services from the early childhood education through to and including secondary school education. Volunteer selected for this role will support to build upon previous result and continue to increase the quality of English Language teachers, particularly in the introduction of Classroom Action Research (CAR).

• You’ll be working with local staff to support the development of an effective CAR training tools to be shared with broader school network.
• You’ll need to have relevant qualifications in English Teaching and/or Teacher Training, and proven experience in the development of appropriate teaching tools and techniques.
• You’ll have the opportunity gain valuable experience through working with the Solok education department, West Sumatra.

Living allowance: $1,000.00

The monthly living allowance enables you to live a modest local lifestyle. Based on the cost of living in a particular country, it covers food, your daily commute, communication and other local costs. It is not set to enable you to meet financial commitments at home, such as a mortgage or a personal loan.
