MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a fast-paced international company, rapidly becoming a significant player in the offshore wind industry. We are looking for a Deputy Offshore Supervisor to assist and fill in for the Supervisor on the Northwester II offshore windfarm.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…have both technical, administrative and managing tasks. As the Deputy Offshore Supervisor, you will assist the Supervisor in leading a team of Offshore Technicians and be the point of contact offshore. It is important that you act with integrity, are highly safety-conscious and teach your colleagues to put safety first at all times. In the absence of the Supervisor, you will act in her/his place.

You will also be responsible for:

• Be part of and lead the team of offshore engineers
• Fault finding and rectification on electrical and mechanical systems
• Completion of scheduled service on wind turbines
• Reporting day to day tasks
• Work to site procedures as well as method/risk assessments
• Support service teams at other wind farms within offshore when needed
• Complete service reports and weekly timesheets
• Site stores work including cleaning, tidying and carrying out stock takes as required
• On-call on weekend rota for turbine break downs

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

…is flexible and thrives in a constantly changing environment and has good organisational and time management skills. We expect that you have a background within mechanical or electrical engineering as well as previous supervisor experience. It is also important that you have good knowledge of 5 GCSEs incl. Maths and English, and you have basic IT skills in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

You will work on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation, and from time to time you might be asked to travel to other offshore sites.
