Scientist to join our Customer and Market Insights Team in our Head Office
based in Evere.
Our Customer and Market Insights
Team is investing a lot just to get to know what our clients do and what they
really want, by collecting all sorts of data he gives us when shopping at
Carrefour. That way, we gather valuable insights and discover possibilities to
amaze our clients even more with information, promotions and actions that are

You will join the Customer &
Market Insights department, working alongside 3 top colleagues with 3-4 years
experience and a senior Data Scientist consultant.
As a Data Scientist at Carrefour Belgium, you
will be in charge of:
Development of ML/AI/DL solutions for our clients such as recommender systems,
customer segmentation, churn modelling, etc.
Translation of business needs into data requirements, creation of test
scenarios (AB tests), presentation of results to stakeholders
Script standardization, optimization and testing in close collaboration with
the DEs
Occasional analyses of marketing campaigns
Recommendations to senior marketeers, category managers and top management.
Competenties The ideal candidate should tick the following boxes:
Up
to 2 years of relevant experience
Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or an education
as an engineer or a related study
Knowledge in machine learning, AI, linear algebra, statistics and passionate
about it
Experience with algorithms such as: linear/logistic regressions, random
forests, neural networks, clustering, time-series, etc.
Experience implementing solutions such as: recommender systems,
next-best-offer/action, NLP, etc.
Experience with DS libraries such as: Scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, Tensorflow,
etc.
Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, Scala or SQL
Familiar with DS platforms such as Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Databricks,
Dataiku, etc.
Familiar with cloud platforms such as MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
Interest for building bridges between the technical and non-technical elements
of the business
Good presentation skills
Good mastery of English and good mastery of Dutch and/or French
